Not sure I'd consider Williams if Reynolds was released early as no real benefit and it'll be just like out the frying pan in to the fire. If Reynolds does leave the club early then I'd move Joey to 6, start playing Balmforth as interchange hooker and also start introducing Hookem to first team action.

Reynolds had a biggish reputation and was our only major signing the off season. Its back fired massively

Yeah, Pearson should have moved faster to replace Radford, giving them time to recruit, covid didn't help that year though.

Williams would be a “Sam Obst” type of signing.

For this year, give the half back roles to Joey and Ben, spelled by Hookem. Gale and Reynolds will never get the goodwill back now. Into Chris Thorman territory soon.

Yep. Don't see any gain signing Williams at this stage of the season. He's not going to be a long term solution in any case.

Phase in players like Balmforth and Hookem to give them experience and see how they go.

Exactly lets use the time to start introducing them to see how they go in SL in preparation for next season and beyond.
I'd even go as far as once Ben McNamara is fit bringing him in alongside Lovodua, as although he may not be the most dynamic of halfs, for me he was reliable and offered more than Gale has so far and his place kicking is very good.

Yes, Hodgson was announced as Hull coach on 25th November 2020 and Reynold's signing was announced eleven days later.

We should at least be looking at some of the fringe players in Rugby Union.
A lot of players being released.
One thing you can say about most backs in Union is that they have speed.
Defence and fitness is a lot better than it used to be

just noticed more nonsence on wikipedia.apart from the dean hawkins comment,its now saying mason lino has signed a 1 year deal with hull fc for the 2023 season.another dobbin at work methinks

I read on Wikipedia the other day that Korbin Sims has signed a 3 year extension with Rovers.
