Out of curiosity how big physically are Jebson and Armstrong?'"
Severs, Jebbo and Armstrong are tall and rangey. I'm sure they will fill out a bit training with the first team. Jebson seems the biggest, physically he looks ideal.
Staveley is a chonk. You can see why he's had knee troubles.

Fan funded player acquisitions are not as daft as you think.
Just takes a lot more interaction between the owner and fans than we have as a club.
In fact its going backwards rather than forwards

It’s unusual for Pearson as he is usually quite open…tbh,he has reeled himself in a bit as he was maybe too open.

I sincerely hope we haven't signed this player.
Sailor is a good player... but I cannot understand why we are rushing to complete our quota, when Smith has alluded to previously ,player movement is still fluid in October.
Every man and his dog know, we need a 7 this season, and next season a 9,surely we should bide our time, if either a 7 or 9 which possess the necessary attributes become available.

He's signed!! We will hear it confirmed in the coming 1-2 weeks.
I personally am really excited. I can't remember the last time we went into a new season with so much pace with a huge aggressive pack to play off. Granted there will be at times a bit if disjointed attack due to lack of out and out 6 such ad JC but we will be so exciting to watch, a young a hungry big pack with genuine strike and pace in the back line, something we've been calling out for.
Transfer business not yet done either as we will get a domestic hooked and 2nd row too so as long as they good signings too we will show up good next season.

| Not sure it the correct decision, but I'll embrace it, I actually think Truman could play the controlling role, he is vocal, calm and has a good kicking game, so it depends how long he is out for.
One good thing will be the threats, gone are the days when you just had to stop Connor to stop Hull, we saw this when Hoy, Trueman an Clifford played (wonder how many times they played together and what the win ratio was?)

| Not the signing I’d have gone for but he definitely has x-factors I’m pretty sure he can also play on the wing. Which would likely be his position when everyone is fit

I really hope you are correct and Sailor is signed?
Wonder how much some fans know about him and if they have actually seen him play?
Or are they assuming that been a full back he can’t play in the halves?
Just watched about 20 minutes of a Broncos v Dolphins game earlier in the season when he played and he got an assist for the first try with a smart pass to Cobbo and put in a lovely grubber kick which should have resulted in a drop out but the ref adjudged Staggs to have knocked on?
Think he would be a wow in Super League.

| Wonder if we’ll look at the hooker from Keighley again?
I’m presuming if Houghton wasn’t renewing, It would be announced this week, so he could be farewelled at the last home game?
Not sure if Smith is creating a team to win the Grand Final, but it looks like it won’t die wondering.

| Only really seen highlights but get the impression he could be similar to Albert Kelly if played in the halves?
Think we would start the season as;
Walker
Sailor
Hoy
Then once Trueman is back fit move to;
Sailor
Hoy
Trueman
With Walker and Litten backing up we'd be well stocked at full back. Worry would just be if there's any more injuries to Hoy and Trueman then it's a full reshuffle without having a decent back up half. I assume we might sign a put of favour SL half or somebody from championship as back up. An under the radar signing that everybody will moan about because as soon as they get announced everyone will assume they've signed as a starting half rather than just for depth.

| The club cannot win can they, most on here baying for signings, s bigger pack of forwards ect.
Youhave to look whats available and the price, just calm down and wait snd see what we get. Can,t be any worse than the past few years.

| Think Litten will play on the wing mainly next season. I'd still look at Mcgilvary for a year for the right price, wants to do another year, but only if its FT.

Think the issue is he has a son in an academy Manchester way on. I can’t imagine him wanting to travel over here for the his day job get home and then drive his son training in Manchester
I think with walker, Hoy, Truey fit we might see sailor on the wing (if he signs).

| Think the direction Tony is taking us is clear, big pack rolling us down the field with quick and exciting backs playing off the back of them. Sailor looks to have more skill in his locker than the average Full Back, I think he would do well in the halves when needed.

Not much available I agree, but still a bit of time and things change fast in the NRL, however waiting don't always pay off like we found when we left if late to replace both Sneyd and Kelly and ended up with Gale abs Reynolds. We did well with Clifford though.
Personally I'd wait a bit and wouldn't sign Sailor, but you can see why Smith doesn't want to risk the waiting game.

| Let's be honest recruitment hasn't worked since 2016, so at least the club are trying something. whilst we will miss control whilst Trueman is out, we have bags of pace and linbreakers.
My big worry is still the backrow, not sure where we are getting one from.

But we're only replacing like for like our best forwards are/we're taylor, satae, griffin, savelio and they gone
They weren't the problem in our pack and problems of the pack are still here
Clifford swift not been replaced yet
I'm praying no relegation next year
Hoy, Trueman, walker all have injury issues aswell
It's just a mess

| My original thought was Ashworth to play backrow but he just looks too big and not mobile enough for the second row so I imagine he'll be taking Taylors place in the squad, I think we might just have to wait until 2025 to really target strengthening the second row or see if something becomes available mid season.
There just isn't the availability especially in this country, we have 3 good centres all who could play second row, we might have to move one short term until we can get some decent size in.
