So, you genuinely believe none of them things got said about Albert Kelly when he played for KR?

Come on mate, do us all a favour and let's not pretend there isn't a humorous bit of irony about you signing a player you all slagged off something rotten, and even better then that now all build him up. It's a classic FC-ism, exhibit A - Lee Radford.

There you go again.

everyone getting there nickers in a twist over someone we havnt even signed yet, IF he does sign lets give him a chance, yes it is a bit of a gamble but imo there is not many players with his talent of which we have been screaming about having for years, we have lacked a maverick half for years and imo he on his day is one of the best, Gamble yes,Worth taking Yes

As a general consensus of opinions on this board both Albert Kelly and Lee Radford got slated. Will be the odd exception but as a whole I am vindicated in saying as such.

Of course he is keen to come, he's currently unemployed.

I hope it works out for him, RL needs more creative players and flashes of brilliance as opposed to drop offs and kicking games. If he could have the right mentality I'd have him above Sneyd. But there is a very slim chance of that. I hope Radford doesn't try and coach it out of him either as I suspect he doesn't have the temperament to control a game, or even play to a game plan.

The blokes got obvious talent, brings excitement & unpredictability. Whilst we had our best year for a long time last year the club have obviously identified that an 'off the cuff' type player would compliment the solid structure we already have. Players like Kelly, Chase etc are a dying breed. If we'd signed him this time last year Rovers fans would have been up in arms.

Playing for us behind our strong pack I think we'll see the very best of him. I'd be interested to see what odds you could get on him being MOS next year.

From the sounds of it the club are tailoring the contract in their favour. The much reduced wage then he was on at Rovers makes it sound like we could possibly be getting an absolute bargain. I aren't privvy to the wage he'll be on but from the sounds of it we'd be very hard pushed to get such a talented player for the same money we'll be paying him.

If your an FC fan and against us signing Kelly then you can have no complaints next season when we look lost of ideas once we get into the opponents 20m zone.

We need a halfback to keep progressing & keep challenging, he fits the bill. I can't see how we can lose with this signing to be honest. The culture at the club has now been established I very much doubt one player could disrupt that with any significance & if he doesn't tow the line i'm sure he'll be gone. I'm certain he is under no illusion to that fact too.

If someone can name another halfback in the world we can get the same value for money from as we'll potentially get from Kelly I'd be amazed. He's the type of player young kids love to watch & if he can make us a more enterprising team I couldn't care less if he's a loose cannon. Not all players can be super professional 100% of the time.

Some players love rugby & its their life, they train hard & continually look to improve. Some players aren't the most talented but their dedication allows them to reach the top.

On the other hand you get some players whom are just naturally gifted & even if they don't train the house down they can still change a game in a second.

We can't have a squad full of robots, every great team has characters & it also has players whom can just turn it on. These players quite often bring a sense of joviality to the training ground due to their sometimes lack-lustre approach. The key is to man-manage these players correctly & get the best out of them. If Kelly is to become a success at Hull it will be down to the coaching staff at Hull being able to ensure that they manage the person as much as the player.

Hull will give us a tough game but the key is to silence their fans in the Threepenny Stand. We have to do this because if we do'nt they will get behind their side and lift them in a way you've never seen, heard or witnessed before.

If fit and his attitude is right, we'd have a top player.

Playing alongside players like Ellis, Taylor, Sneyd, Houghton, Manu, Mini & Fonua would surely give him the motivation to perform vs playing alongside Matty Marsh and the rest of those jokers.

A contract with conditions in our favours & a much lower salary, with plenty of performances based incentives for Kelly would be ideal. I've love to see him running around in a B&W shirt.

Rovers fans will of course be warning us from him, telling us he's this and that, that'll at some point he'll mess up and go back to his old ways. Well, they were saying the same about Wattsy and 4 years later all is well.

If Motu has identified a player that he thinks can improve the team whoever it is then I am not going to complain, the last couple of years all his signings have improved the team both on and off the field.

If i remember rightly when Watts signed for us we had the same scenario and look how he turned out, a much more professional approach with FC will see the best of kelly I have no doubt and anyway anyone really think Radford/Ellis/Mini/Houghton will let one player disrupt the team. I think not now.
