I don't mind Eden tbf, it's just his errors. We've got enough players who cough the ball up, but when he's on he's a very good winger.

JSL blows too hot and cold for me, and I'd take Shenton if he was a few years younger.

You could always send McShane, Watts, Evalds or GOB our way though

I’m still astounded you allowed Watts to leave, to be honest. You can’t stop players leaving who are OOC, but you had one of the best props in the league under contract and let him leave!
I’m kind of hoping Shenton does another year - he’s been our best player a number of times this year and it’s not like there is an abundance of quality centres around to sign for 2022.
As you say, JSL is inconsistent but is a decent SL player. I doubt he’ll be at Cas next year with the signings of Lawler, Edwards, Sutcliffe and Westerman.

We haven’t got much room to manoeuvre until 2023 season I think. Even then there’s no guarantee we’ll be spending what we are now.
Just not sure how they’ll sell next years memberships when it won’t be jam for another two years never mind next year.
AP believed we had a top four team this year, so this isn’t going to go down well at all. Just have a feeling something will change somewhere.
The fans aren’t going to accept anymore promises of a better tomorrow, as it’s been used too many times.
Really at a loss at the direction we’re heading.

The Liam Watts thing isn't even funny. I hate seeing him in a Cas shirt

Just wait until Faraimo is ripping it up on our edge next year.

There were reasons why we let Watts go, it was his discipline and he had many chances, but head-butting an opponent when in possession of the ball with the game won and getting himself banned for 3 matches was the final straw. He was sent off 3 times in the season before that, I expect his season targets were to improve his discipline, and he failed miserably. He was looking in great playing form too, he'd just had a great game against the St George Dragons down in Oz.

And we did eventually replace him with Satae.

I have worries about Reynolds next season BUT if he stays fit we should improve. Shaul will be fully recovered and an option and Griffin will be back. McIntosh is an upgrade on Faraimo.

Some of the bench options are questionable but Hodgson has my support. He was only appointed a month before Christmas. Warrington and Cas announced their 2022 coaches in April. Radford has already had five months to plan for next season and reshape his squad and backroom staff. Powell I'm sure will be spending some time meeting Warrington players and again is putting a squad together.

Hodgson was only able to make one signing but inherited a squad that was without Kelly, Naulago, Ellis and Jones and had to do without Shaul for most of the year.

I'd go with Shaull, Reynolds and Connor as our pivots, sign another hooker and use Houghton off the bench.

We have to try and win one of last two games, yo fgo into next season on the back of 5 consecutive defeats wouldn't help the confidence.

We have to improve our fitness and Hodgson has to improve his use of the bench.

Leeds, Rovers and Cas already look stronger for next season

Not bothered about Faraimo, runs hard, but had no page, poor under the high ball and he has reverted to making crucial mistakes every game now.

I wouldn't worry too much, I don't think he'll be here
