It's strange as fans that we too have been mentally conditioned.
Never knowing what to expect, which Hull team is going to turn up.
Compete against the big teams and capitulate against the weaker ones.

This is a game on paper I'd expect to win but the reality is I'm not confident.
We definitely need to win to keep our slim play off hopes alive but who knows what we'll get today.
I'll go with optimism as usual but similar to last game at Huddersfield, I will not be shocked if we get beat.
The player's mindset will determine this one and hopefully after last week they want to put a few wrongs, right .

Gut feeling is we'll lose.

Wakey will want to take advantage of Cas being bottom now and come out all guns blazing.

We wont get in the play offs but after a couple of woeful seasons could do with as high a finish as possible to to boost our IMG ratings

Still think we have a chance of the play offs, Warrington, Leeds, Rovers and Salford are definitely there for the taking if we can win at least 5/7.

If we play like we know we can (albeit only shown in patches) we will win by a couple of scores. Serve anything up like we have recently (Huddersfield, Rovers, Cas) and we probably lose against a confident team who have an awful lot to play for.
I'm gonna say home advantage helps us just scrape over the line in a close and nervous game.

Test where we are they 2nd bottom

That how bad our expectations have got when we're classing 2nd bottom as a big game

We won't make the play offs we pretty much have to win every game imo including saints and Wigan away

Not so. We have a disadvantage in terms of points difference but if we win today it'll be

Warrington 22
Rovers 22
Salford 20/22
Leeds 18/20
Hull FC 20

Could do with Leigh beating Leeds and Saints beating Salford today and we are in the mix.

The others aren't all going to win every game. Leeds have to travel to us and Catalans and have Warrington at home. Salford have a tough run in.

We won't win anything with a lightweight pack fash, Lane and cator

Blinkered Fans ignoring that yet then wonder why we don't look like challenging for top honours

We had a proper pack in 2016 and 2017 teams were scared of ellis manu and mini
