Assistant

That would make more sense, highly respected and a move to assistant would make more sense than a head coach. Which SL coach needs a new assistant?

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Or is that SKD, Lovegrove and their new D.O.R Brian Stow?

TBH I'm surprised that they're dispensing of McGuire given the rhetoric coming from them all season.

Can see McGuire heading back Leeds way to be honest.

Hopefully Shenton will remain in his role at Hull as he has done a fantastic job for us at youth level with Pete Riding. Think Cas really are more than a bit of a basket case at present and even more so with a lot of signings already made for next season. They need an experienced Coach to help steady the ship much like Smith has been doing with us.

Didn’t AP say he’s personally liable for the Covid loan?
Maybe declaring yourself bankrupt is a way out of that?

Welcome to page 600 :DRUMMER: I haven't heard the Pearsons gone bust rumour and I still have a few folks who are usually right on these things and they haven't either. but what is interesting on this one is that on the last few occasions I have spoken to Adam personally he made a point of assuring me that he gets Hull FC in that he is extremely conscious of the heritage and the place of the club in the west Hull community and whatever he does in the future it would only be done if he could ensure the continuation of the Club for the foreseeable. If you remember he has also said that a couple of times in the media too.

So,Pinch of salt at the moment for me, perhaps when you look how far we have fallen from the days of signing perhaps the best forward in the world and players like Pritchard, Mini and Manu, to ones that we haven't even heard of, such rumours are understandable. But a good one to get this thread to 700 never mind 600!!!!!

Pritchard was poor for us imo given he was good for Canterbury years before

The pack of Taylor Watts Ellis minchello and manu no one mentions Pritchard

Yes it would be but it wouldnt be a sensible move for a businessman like Pearson or in fact for the club if they have outstanding loans to Pearson as all his assets would be taken into consideration for the creditors.
There is no doubt in my mind that the clubs financial situation is pretty dire certainly until the goverment loan is repaid, guaranteed by someone or written off by the government for the benefit of the sport as Hull FC cannot be the only club having difficulty repaying it.
I think the Goverment loans to Rugby League clubs will all be quietly written off to save the sport.

Completely agree, great pack that proper second rowers too. However talk to some of the players back then and he was certainly 'a leader' off the pitch and Ellis said that at a forum hen attended. However, I was citing the magnitude of the impact those players had on the supporters and their season ticket intentions when they were signed, compared with the impact our current signings have had on the supporter base, that's all. I remember the excitement there was when big frank signed. Sadly that and a brilliant performance against Rovers running wide as a second row pre season was just about where his impact ended
