I suppose you could say the same about Pele though, is he worth a quota spot given he has played so few NRL games, could turn out to be a bienek or a maiava type project rather than a moa type project, same of a player who's nickname is "knock-onbur" only time will tell how they turn out, Whitbread is a pretty solid signing for rovers

Suppose what I mean is his style of forward. Could you sign a British middle and save on the quota spot? Especially if Rovers have paid a fee. I'm happy with Ese'ese, Pele, Sao and Ashworth. They all look like they'll compliment each other well.

While I wasn't over the moon about Okunbur, I'll wait until I've seen him play SR over here before I make my mind up.

Agree, he’s a decent forward. I just couldn’t resist the trophy comment.
I’m sure kr fans like oafy would have done same if it had been fc.

Tbf mate i didn’t get what you meant, regarding the trophy stuff I’ve not seen us win a major one so I’m used to it, saw us win afew in our dark almost semi pro days, ultimately it wasn’t meant to be this year feel we really really missed a chance at Wembley especially after knocking Wigan out when i think we all saw how good they are at weekend,

But us going for whitbread upgrades the player he’s replacing so it’s another step in the right direction

Think the problem is there's a lack of good English forwards, and any that come on the market are snapped up by the big clubs (Walters, Dupree, Partington etc) so clubs have to use quotas on forwarda like Whitbread etc

kr are so desperate for a trophy they’ve signed Whitbread. I wonder if they’re going to start selling the bitter.
Good ol dobbins !

If that fails they could get themselves a mate called Smith!

Not now.Doesnt matter who we sign because fans will seemingly be happy but If we had targeted Whitbread before Pele was announced fans most fans would have been happy to see him here

Fox think Nathan Brown could be off to SL. Interesting that Watson hasn't signed a new deal at the Roosters yet

Whitebread a decent forward, I'd have him over Sao, but during the season it became appartment we needed game breaking and big forwards, Whitbread isn't that type of player. His highlights on the Rovers Twitter page show that.

Been delighted with Watson.

In Sydney a few weeks ago, chatting to a `dyed in the wool' Bulldogs supporter
he reckoned Pele was a very good young player who'd go well in SL, when asked about Okunbor
he just rolled his eyes & grimaced.!!!! From what i've seen though i think he could be ok, similar to Griffin as a wide running SR,- time will tell i suppose.
Ese Ese is the one i can't make my mind up about, does'nt seem to get involved enough & used mainly as a dummy runner, - could be playing to orders though.

Looks like we're using our last quota spot on a spine player, so that would mean no move for Vuna
