Its clear that the Clubs future strategy relies on a good number of the younger players making the grade in S/L in the next two years.
The problem is if they dont and its very unlikely we will have five or six of our younger players taking the field together as regular S/L players then the longer term contracts of the ageing players brought in will come back and bite us by restricting what we can do in the recruitment market in 2026.
The likelihood is that we could be looking at a similar large player movement in and out once again for 2027 instead of simply adding the two or three quality players per season in positions we need like most clubs do or Myler will end up trying to trade or pay off some of the average Joes he has brought in so we can add more quality for 2026
Think we can now see how unlikely this strategy is likely to work
