Jamie Thackeray made great impact in his first year back and people where saying it would be a travesty if he didn't get another contract at the end of last season. The club doesn't need a prop at the moment and don't need to hold onto one who won't be first choice if all are fit next season.

Do Saints/Leeds use quota spots on back up players?

I'd personally like to see us bring in either a SO, FB or 3/4. Apparently Inu may be on the move, I wouldn't mind that at all.

I can understand people wanting Moa to stay, personally I'd like him to as well. As you say though, we aren't in a great need with what's signed up now, but I'd've preferred him to stay than Cusack.

Dont know about that.....personally i rate the guy and he has been missed big time.....we could have signed Moa and not O'meley?????

End of the day Moa has looked good but he is after a contract and is playing well...i would sooner us sign a top quality S/O.

If it were up to be Moa wouldn't be a back up player. I'd have him rotate with Manu and Lauaki on the bench to keep them all fresh. However, our weakest position at the moment is stand off but if we signed a stand off, were would we play Horne. I know he's been poor this season but he's still a quality player who you need in your starting 13.

Moa
Lauaki
Manu
Houghton

Keep it tight for the first 20 and then blow teams away with that bench. Its what good teams do.
