No doubt its down to the fact that its the usual fans of the sport that know its on and buying tickets as opposed to the RFL getting their act together and actually doing any sort of marketing campaigns to promote the series like any professional organisation would do.

The marketing/promotion of the game or should that be lack of it is really is p1s5 poor and yet the RFL, club chairman and IMG wonder why the sports in decline.

but i thought bringing the mighty IMG on board that marketing was part of their agenda.
Instead of having a jobs for the boys, the RFL could have dropped a couple of directors and employed an experienced advertising and marketing person

I did see some advertising at a train station for the series, persinally I feel like I'm less likely to go to an England game if it's at a smaller stadium like at Helens , Huddersfield etc, I prefer when they're at the big venues like Newcastle, anfield, the Emirates etc, gives it that bigger game feel, suspect I'm not alone in my thinking

Nu Brown with the try against Australia. Dive over from dummy half. Got NZ right back in it.

Played the last 30 minutes, should have xome on earlier and moved Foran to 6.

Apart from the try, which is some achievement was pretty quiet, has good distribution and is a very good defender
Really looking forward to see him play for us.

Don't think he was really given much to work with. NZ were losing the collision nearly every tackle by the time he came on so barely got any quick play the balls ro give him space to run. They also weren't playing particularly expansive rugby.
Agree he was solid defending in the middle and a couple of good one on one tackles to prevent a break.
Think he will be a really good signing for us.

Embarrassing crowd, Hudds shouldn't have an England game again, theres little interest in the giants at club level and Huddersfield isn't exactly a destination city to tempt fans to

It's just symbolic of the big decline international rugby league. Twenty years ago we had a three match Ashes series between Great Britain and Australia at Hull, Wigan and Huddersfield with around 25k at each game. In 1994 the three Ashes matches had a combined attendance of 140,000! We had actual household names like Offiah, Robinson, Davies, Schofield, Farrell.

Now we get games like today's or last year 8k watching England v France and I bet most casual sports fans wouldn't be able to name a single player.

Even 12 months ago we had 40k at St James', 40k at the Emirates, an almost sold out Bolton and DW. we've had good crowds at Wembley and the Olympic stadium in the past too. Fans moan that we don't have enough international RL, then when there is international RL they don't bother attending. Can't moan the ticket prices are too high when you compare it to what prices are to watch England football, union or cricket either

But tonga aren't same draw as Australia

Don't think crowd is that bad to say Huddersfield only get 5k probs about 13/14k today

Like most sports tho alot can't name many modern day darts, boxers, snooker players etc

Even football harry kane only got about 52 points out of 100 on pointless other week !
