One possible scenario? There's plenty, but that would put in the realms of the weak and feeble minded jumping to conclusions and half cocked theories on here. Seriously, if you can't even see the obvious two, then there's precious little wonder you're not understanding the situation and blaming football.
Humour me and point out the 'obvious two'.
And once again, I haven't blamed soccer for anything.

True, but this isn't really all that big outside of the M62 is it.
It's an International against the World Champions. It would get a certain amount of national coverage.

But others are claiming that this is a hotbed of RL, surely it's better to have it an hour down the road in a bigger ground so more of them can see it? The equivalent in Union would fill the KC more than three times over.
Irrelevant.

I admire your optimism, but question the logic of asking one of the opponents of teh whole stadium concept for their support.
I suggested contacting the Council, not a particular member.
I've zero intention of getting drawn into that. If you can't work them out it's not for me to waste my time explaining. Apart from that, Admin get stroppy if threads veer off topic.
And once again, I haven't blamed soccer for anything. Once again, Bravo. I'll see if I can arrange a medal for you.
It's an International against the World Champions. It would get a certain amount of national coverage. Perhaps. It depends on how important that 'certain amount' is. There have been occasions with RL when no coverage would have been better for the profile.
Irrelevant.
To you perhaps, but gives a bit of context to the claims and demonstrates the stupidity of the outrage when linked to claims of it being a rugby mad area.
I suggested contacting the Council, not a particular member.
Right, so two medals then?
Why are you people getting touchy? All I'm pointing out is that it's silly to blame football for your problems when most of you admit to not having one solitary fact on the subject. Or do you really believe looking small minded has benefits to your argument?
AS I keep saying, I've expressed no views on it being right or wrong, just pointed out the stupidity of some of the arguments.
what a pi$$ take. i have attended every international at the kc, the stadium was built with our money, how has this been allowed to happen? do ypu think this is why fc play every friday night now as there are no premier league games at this time?

I'm not in the slightest bit touchy, thanks for your concern.
However, your constant avoidance of my questions coupled with your deliberately inflammatory language leads me to believe that you are simply trolling and looking to start an argument. If you carry on in that vein you can take a short break from posting on here.
I see you ignored the suggestion to read the posts again minus the small minded attitude you suffer from.
I'm not speaking on behalf of Duffen, I'm simply pointing out that you're running off at the mouth without having ANY facts at all. That's the mark of a fool.
Besty, if there's really such an interest as you claim, the KC far too small for it.
The KC is 'big enough' for us and the select few that actually enjoy their chosen sport......Not the hoolies, bandwagoners and Stone Island models that are wanting extra seating.......just in case the ever changing (ie foreigners......ask Deano what he thinks ) Hull City actually make their 'miracle stint' in the premiership last longer than the expected 1 year.

Do you expect several million people to travel from the southern hemisphere to see the game in person?
It's good news for the city as a whole to be able to stage this sort of event, while not knowing the reasons for the SMC not wanting to play ball i can't comment. But Duffen should make the reasons known, he is after all the head of a company running the facility on behalf of the council. If he thinks it may interupt with city's fixtures, or damage the pitch or it's going to clash with Iron Maiden playing the KC then the least he could do is come out and give his reasons, thats not unacceptable to expect surely. Being unnavailable for comment is a copout.
I'm doing my best not to make this a Hull fc v Hull city thing.
oh no, its because you had a vote on the matter did'nt you! i reckon it was a major factor to save any embaressment of fc having to move a fixture when sky or setanta decided to show a live city game on saturday evening or sunday afternoon, the time when most sl games take place! anyway i still feel the rl fans ofthe city have been cheated out of an international game!
