Great news,
I think the club has already sorted the half situation out just have to complete the deal and thats why they have moved onto their next target and signed Joe.

The one player who is now under threat is Washy imo. Whiting will be our utility player and should we sign an overseas half who can cover 6,7, & 9 then it leaves Washy as a fringe player.

I can see our bench being one of two options - 2 x props/backrow/overseas half

Or with Fitz likely to play the full 80 mins - prop/utility/backrow/overseas half

I'd go with:-

Tansey
Sharp
Berrigan
Yeaman
Briscoe
Horne
Long
O'Meeley
Houghton
Fitzgibbon
Tickle
Manu
Westerman

Moa
Whiting/Radford - Depdending if we need a 2nd prop or not
Lauaki
Rovelli - hooker cover unless injuries to 6/7

That is the worry, once Agar gets his hands on him.

Why can't anyone give Agar credit for once for getting Westerman signed up in the first place instead of ALWAYS having a dig at him?.

Waaaay too much to ask, it's too easy to blame Agar from everything.

I'll be happy to give Agar credit when he gets our team performing. Thats his job. Westerman has the potential to be a good signing and in 3 years time i hope i look back and say 'well done Agar for signing him and turning round FC's performances'

I've been waiting a number of years to be able to praise Agar on changing our performances and haven't had reason to yet.

Great signing, has all the attributes to be the next Paul Sculthorpe, just hope his heads on the job and his discipline problems are behind him. If he's having a testimonial in 10 years time after fullfilling his potential he'll be an FC great.

We improved last year, he deserved credit for making the changes and getting us competing again. Now his job is to push on from that and also try and improve our style of play if he can. Time will tell but you can only do that by making good signings and this one ticks that box 8)

Interesting on the Leeds board there's a comment about Gary convincing Kath to spend big so that Cas can then spend big on someone from Leeds. Possible way of transferring funds between the clubs? :)
