yes whiting had a poor game against rovers,but hes had more good games than bad,still be in my squad,can cover various positions and a very good rugby brain,like to see him given a run at lf

It must finally be the end for G Horne, it really is about time. The signing of Turner must also put Whiting's future in doubt.



Personally, I wouldn't mind if Whiting left with G Horne, Lee, Thorman and Motu from our backline. All we would need to do then is convince Stefan Ratchford to come here with his bessy mate !!!!

Maybe with the news that we have got Manu off quota coming out we can expect some news with regards to an overseas signing soon

We don't need another overseas signing !!! Give the last quota spot to Big Sam now then bring in a good British SO/centre like Stefan Ratchford or Ryan Atkins.



If we had the ability to pull off something similar to that, I would be very happy with next years squad.

That would be a fantastic off-season of recruitment and our squad would be well capable of challenging at the very top of SL.

I understand you point of view, however i believe the club are already actively talking to an overseas back, if thats the case then it looks like Moa will be playing elsewhere

We need top class competition for all places and don't let any of them feel comfy in their roles. That's a lot of our trouble, injuries strike but ordinary 'joe's' get a good run becauese we lack class in depth. There will be injuries again next season and all these players will get their fair share of gametime and none of them will want to miss a game - keep em on their toes!

Oh, and sign big Sam if we can now Manu's off quota hopefully.

Atkins wouldn't work, I rate him but he's Yeaman mk. 2, if we are going to sign another centre we need someone more creative. That said, I don't even think centre is a priority, I'm perfectly happy with Yeaman/Hall/Briscoe battling it out for the two spots.

I really think we could be on to a gem with this kid. Thing is, no one really knows how good he is, not even himself and if those 'whispers' are true, then a two year deal would help him develop no end - lets hope.

At this moment in time would rather get rid of Richard Horne and keep Whiting. Time to play him in his proper positions also.

We still lack options at 1/2 back. If long gets injured in the 1st game we're back to where we've been for the last year and a half with horne/berrigan and washbrook as our 1/2 backs and they've proven they're not consistently good enough.

But it could be said that working from behind an agressive strong pack then Berrigan / Horne etc would be alot more effective . Very few halfbacks can work behind a beaten pack , so signing Sam for me adds to that aggressive pack .
