What Byrne showed in that tackle (South/West stand corner) was the passion and committment we've all been demanding for the last 5 years. He really knocked the wind out of himself but shook it off and carried on. That one incident lifted the team and the crowd. There was a similar tackle in late in the game in the opposite corner. It wasn't bad, but if it was S Briscoe, he's have completed the shoulder charge, picked up the loose ball, ran 70 yards, scored the try, kicked the goal, nipped over to the Gaza strip & brokered a peace deal & got back in time for the restart.
Neither Motu or Byrne could have done that, so BRING BACK BRISCOE!!.

Todd was awesome last night. Made two top try saving tackles, took the high balls well and joined the line on occasion in attack. The only downside was the knock on in north west corner second half but Calderwood should have taken it anyway.
