The Hull Derby Thread : Sun Apr 17, 2011 3:05 pm
havent seen one yet so thought id start it off. like any derby this game is a 50 50 both teams going into it in sh%te form and sitting 11th and 12th in the table and could of been worse if not for wakey and cru havent points taken of.
personally like any derby cant wait for friday but very nervous but it will be intresting to see who plays on the wing i reckon he will go with whiting but thats up for debate and then hows the rest of the team going to lineup?. obviously another big attraction is going to see how gleeson goes again cant wait to see how he goes like any signing it will take time ect but at last we have a proper right centre since 2006 in domic and as good domic was for us gleeson is in a diffrent league. will dobson and newton play for the dobbins not really sure but obviously they would be huge additions for them and a big confidence lift espcially dobson.

If Obsty passes the head test (outrageous unpunished high tackle) I would play him and Long in the halves and drop Horne for this one. Horne started the season OK but his form has dipped - in particular he is slow getting his kicks away and he is getting caught regularly with the ball. His kick was good for Briscoe but there were also kicks out on the full and a poor slow effort which Menzies converted into a try. Time for Richard to sharpen up in the 20s IMO.

I really want to try, but the thought of it just exhausts me. Dreading it, frankly.

I actually have zero interest in the game at the moment, not sure if it will change during the week either.

I fully expect a tonking by Rovers with their timely boosts and 2:1 win ratio in the SL era. Therefore anything else is a bonus. :D

Well, I had it in my head that as it is a Friday game it would be a 8pm kickoff so I offered to work a shift during the day, so I'm now missing the match. Anyway, it's debatable which will be more depressing, a shift at work or watching FC at the moment.
