'Hull FC can confirm that this evening’s game in the Stobart Super League against Catalans Dragons has been postponed due to a frozen pitch. A pitch inspection was held at the Stade Gilbert Brutus at 2pm, with representatives of both clubs and the RFL and the decision was reached. The club would urge as supporters and their families to contact any fans who are in Perpignan as soon as possible to inform them of the decision. Both clubs and the RFL will now work together with a view to re-arranging the fixture and an announcement will be made in due course. Bad news for the fans that have already travelled , Good news for us hoping for a July rearrangement .

Last week in july and 1st 2 weeks in august would do me...thats when my new works holidays are

Presumably the most likely dates are 16th June the weekend of the England v Exiles or 14th July which is Challenge Cup semis weekend should neither team be involved.

As I said in an earlier post, It's a fecking disgrace! You can bet your bottom dollar the RFL won't say a ward to the people running the club. Why wasn't measures put into place to protect the pitch or even make the decision earlier? I feel for all the fans that have travelled all the way to France (some for the 1st time) to realise the club couldn't be bothered to at least try to limit the damage.

I agree, compared to the efforts of Saints, who had people working through the night and pitch covers with heaters underneath to thaw the pitch out...it is a poor effort.

It will be planned for the earliest date (IMO), if they plan for July 14th, and either club makes the semi's, there are no free weekends after that - would mean a midweeker in france.
