Without wanting to derail the thread further, I think the intolerance is a fact of life these days. There's a real divide in our country and there doesn't seem to be any respect for a view that is different to one an individual believes. IMO social media has heightened this because you can select the views your see day to day and block out the ones that you don't like, adding to the belief that your opinion is the correct and only one.

I've been guilty of this, but realised and over the past couple of years have tried to research and understand the 'other side' to whatever the argument is.

Sneyd has been getting better and better over the past few years and it's a real pleasure to see him thrive with the help of Kelly, Connor, Shaul, and this year Westy. Expected to lose him, but it seems that there's a real desire to compete with our club at the moment which is exciting.

Great post. So much is dumbed down to binary, extreme narratives. Like you I have done a little research more into why social media perpetuates more negativity than positivity. I do find it odd conceptually that in a society where we have so many choices about what we do, where we go - people invest so much time complaining about stuff they can't control rather than just doing something else or taking positive action on something else. It's a strange & wonderful world we live in. :DAISY:

The loose forward point is intriguing. I like Westerman and the role he plays but do wonder whether we'll revert to a 3rd prop model. Not too many players in Joe's mould kicking around.

It’s labelled “The vociferal minority”, a bit like Brexit, the majority voted for it but a minority want to derail it, bit like this forum.
Loose forward as you say has become the extra prop but teams are putting ball handling props in there with excellent results, hate to say it but before Westy, Watts was the ideal candidate. Ligi Sau’s position next season, to keep the spine going and aid Sneyd.

Not heard that term before but it's a good one. Completely agree on Watts, has great hands and would have been perfect. Gone a bit quieter on recruitment just now, maybe holding news o follow after our next loss. Has Sau been formally announced yet? Lose track with the press trailing stuff and actual announcements.

Personally I want Sneyd to continue doing what he’s doing. Leave the running and off the cuff stuff to Kelly’s and Connor.

BIG decision to be made when Carlos if fit again. Who do you go with in the centres. Connor should never be left out. Griffin makes a lot of ground. This is where the man management skills of the coaching team will be tested.

Got to be Carlos & Conor centres, Griffin on the bench.

Personally I think that would be harsh on Griffin, but I suppose thats what the coaches get paid to do, make the big calls.

Carlos defence is better than griffins but Griffin really does bring the ball out well and often gets us out of trouble doing it. His error rate seems to be low too. Doubt well have all of shaul, connor Griffin, Carlos, Kelly and sneyd fit much of the time anyway so wont be an issue

I also think we should switch connor, Kelly and sneyd around more when all 3 are playing. Bringing connor inside on occasion would cause defences some issues and confusion
