Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Re: Le Cats : Sun Jun 23, 2019 1:11 pm
…. LR said in an interview that Savelio wanted to play in the middle until his fitness and tackling had improved. "Tackling gets more difficult and the technique changes the wider out you play".

Jamie Shaul - would really expect him to be running amok in games like this and other big wins
He’s there for his attacking prowess

Then I watched the game again and at 12.13 into the game Jamie runs the ball out of Defence

If you’ve recorded it go to 12.12

Look at his body language as he sees the 3 big defenders

Am I reading too much into it ?

Concussions can scare the absolute shiot out of anyone and he’s had 2 bad ones very recently

I may have it wrong ?

You are reading too much in to it.

Can you trust these stats though Ratu's 4 clean brakes was 185 metres which means his other 8 carries only made 3 metres? no way .

..isn't meters made based on the ground gained after initial contact with a defender?

I thought it was metres made with ball in hand which is why the fb and wingers generally make plenty

That makes more sense, I just thought I'd read somewhere a mention of initial contact.

Players are training @Brid tomorrow, anyone know what time??

Thought Savelio played well and could well be a similar player for us as Willi Manu was. He needs to play out wide and yesterday proved it, hopefully now we have the likes of Bowden & Green back it allows Radford to keep him out wide.

Hope we keep Greeny, he’s looked almost a different player, in a very positive way.
