I for one feel we need a new captain next year. I have always rated Houghton but all he is now is a tackling machine but let's not forget of you play down the middle for 80 minutes your gonna do alot of tackling then most in super lesgue. My issue is who do we pick. Sneyd too hot and cold, Taylor not got me but can't think of another obvious candidate. To give too a new signing is alot of pressure . Do we give Connor to try and mature him

Ellis is going round again next season so its likely to be him but i agree with you when you dont have an obvious candidate its very worrying.
Neither Houghton or Taylor are Captain material and in any case are both too close to Radford.
Trouble is if it is Ellis he may not even make the starting 17 most weeks

Easy for me, make Sneyd captain, let him completely take charge of our attack, he’s a smart rugby player, just needs to be given a free reign. Give an 80 min back row enforcer vice captaincy and bingo, sorted x

So true, some of our senior players not done enough this year

Storm have 2 Leadership groups
One is established experienced Ala Smith plus 5 others
Then they have a junior leadership group such as Munster etc

They assume that at least 10-12 players want to be Leaders by their actions both on and off the pitch

And it shows, some of these young kids playing in the nrl are unbelievable, wish Jamie shaul could run with as much enthusiasm as the young Melbourne fb (whose name I ain’t going to try spelling)
