I think the current ruling states that if a player's foot is touching the ground and is inline with the ref then he's onside. This can give the impression that he's offside when he's not. It also means that players close to the ref obscure his view, not that they ever look in both directions - it's impossible anyway.
Why not have players behind the ref, and let the linesman police it.

Having said that, players have been offside for as long as I can remember, so it'll never change.

I just can’t believe the rfl don’t look at both products (nrl/sl) and implement changes to improve sl, Jason tamalola (not spelled check) would be 2nd in sl for metres after only playing 18 games, yes he’s world class, but that’s just stupid

Saints put out a full strength team and it played at it's best. For a lot of the time we matched them, and as I said we could have been in front. Who knows what may have transpired, it would have given us a very big confidence boost. Instead of which they come down the other end, and get away with what was a blatant knock on, and score.
The main difference was that whilst Saints punished us for our errors/penalties, we failed to capitalise on a, very, sustained period of pressure in the second half, and made errors at crucial times.

I thought saints were a bit rubbish TBH. I can see wire or wigan winning the GF.

Saints for me will win it, send Holbrook out on a wining note, hope so anyway, can’t stand the thought of Wigan champions again

Have to say I agree and had Makinson not been given way way too much freedom on the touchline from Faraimo coming way inside it could well have been a much different result.

Unless Warrington get over their cup hangover I can only really see Wigan winning the GF with Salford as dark horse. Just think st’s may well miss out again.

A part of me (very small part) thinks Castleford may turn Warrington over, Wigan St's Grand Final, Wigan win.
