No not for me, class and great as a player but not seemingly the case with his coaching record. Great players do not always levitate to being great coaches fact is many so often fail.

Last & Purtill both have something to prove and I do feel that they deserve a shot for this season. It did seem that Radford had control over every aspect and this may well have been his ultimate downfall by not allowing others freedom to do the role they are employed.

The second paragraph are my thoughts too but as I said earlier I would still take Kearney.

On what basis would you take Kearney over Fitzgibbon or Last, or a return for John Kear or , as an outside,Brian Smith?

Probably the basis of winning the World Cup, and the four nations, against the mighty Australians.

He’s had a rocky ride in the NRL, but I’d be quite happy with Big Steve, if Lasty and KP don’t work out.
