Jack Farrimond is probably the best academy halfback prospect seen at Wigan for a long time and is both an organiser and kicker. Downsides are his age when an experienced head would be preferable and he might not be at a stage physically where Wigan would want him playing SL every week. But far better than the options Hull currently have and would compliment Trueman in style. Would be worth an enquiry for a loan deal.

Same age as Charles isn't he, both played for England academy last year, so not sure that's he is better option than we currently have, we'll probably better than Smith, but can't have two 18 year old halfbacks playing together at this level.

Cheers, but we are actually doing really well at academy level, as you may have witnessed the other night at Saints, we may have been duffed, but 9/10 local lads were the make up of the team, dare say there’s not many teams could accommodate this situation, we’ve released so many players of late, due to various reasons it’s experienced players we’re short of, especially quality first teamers.

Out of interest, does anybody have any opinions on Harman and Medforth?
I think they're both a year older than Charles but obviously at present he is the preferred option. They were both (I think) in the squad last week but obviously not selected.
Has anybody seen them play and think either of them would be a capable SL player in a year or 2?

Bit early to write off our recruitment for 2025, let's see who the coach is before we start jumping off the humber bridge.

Only Hull supporters could complain about lack of recruitment for the following season as early as April.

Ryan Hampshire would be the other option from our place - solid enough at #6 and #1.

Just don’t understand the 2 week loan for Aydin personally?

Unless it’s to protect our players which is only one position.

He is not the experienced forward we need.

We are giving him game time and getting him fit for if Rovers need him in a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile our players are sat twiddling their thumbs.

See how he plays on Sunday but just indon’t get it?

Some Hull fans confuse the hell out of me.

We need bodies to protect the young players.

Proceed to sign 3 players…

Oh no. Not those players.

Seriously?! What are people expecting?! I don’t get it!

It’s quite simple!

I have only mentioned 1 player. Namely Aydin as I question the logic of it.

He’s 23 and hardly the experienced forward who will help our young forwards?

He will keep Gardiner and Laidlaw out of the team when they could do with some game time. They hardly ever play because reserve fixtures are so infrequent?

Not a problem with Chamberlain as we need outside backs!

We need to rebuild our squad and loan signings are fine for now until we get our Coach in place.

Remember we have lost Hoy and Brown and still have several players injured. We are playing on fumes.

Agreed, for 2025 rovers have JWH, Broadbent and Davies, we have...tom briscoe

you can imagine the accountant at the club going to Pearson
Adam we need money to pay the wages next month
Adam to accountant go and see Clarky and get him to release a new shirt our gullible fans will pay up for that

These recent loan signings are really rock bottom and what they will bring to the team short term god knows yet as usual no matter how average they are fans will make a case that they are good signings for the club.Wake up.
I cant think of another S/L club that would make such average loan signings and for what purpose?
We have an ex NRL wing currently playing in the second row and we sign Tom Briscoe.I could accept it if it was a short term loan yet some fans because its Hull Fc try and make a case its a good signing some even believe it could be a cunning plan of the club to use his PhD in sports physiology and performance in the future.
Lets face it if our neighbours accross the river had signed Chamberlain on loan and a 34 year old Briscoe on an 18 month deal, given his age people on here would be laughing their heads off yet they accept Briscoe with open arms as the club know what they are doing so it must be the right signing

Wouldn't mind Herman having a word with Ali Leiataua at the Warriors and seeing if he fancies a couple of years in SL!
