Got the impression the next Coach will be new to the club from what was said rather than Grix being a prime contender.

We will see what Grix is all about tonight
he should have spent his days in charge purely working on defense and tackle technique.
Even with such a depleted squad get that right and the 50 point expected drubbing should be reduced to a more acceptable 20 or so points
If its the same old ill discipline, missed tackles and poor goal line defence then he has learnt nothing

He's only had a week, we can't expect a massive turnaround in that time. A bit more effort and organisation will be a big step in the right direction.

I've heard that training has been a lot better structured this week and some players who were pretty much ignored by smith a lot more involved

I'm not really expecting to see much difference at all tonight in how we play, but hope to see some improvements in effort and body language.
Got to remember that from the team that last took the field against Huddersfield and got battered, we've then lost a further 4 players from that team. We're an even weaker team than we was, going up against a much stronger team than the one that hammered us.
Grix has only had them for a week or so. Way too little time in my opinion to really make much of a mark.
Whoever is playing in the second row and defending alongside Charles needs to really help him out this time. He was left too exposed against Huddersfield and forced to make too many 1 on 1 tackles against much bigger players. At the moment he's just not physically ready to do that. Needs more help form the players around him.

This. We can't expect miracles in a week. Hopefully we will see something positive but we really do need to allow patience and time for Grix, the players, and the club as a whole.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Exactly and we also need some bodies back, some additions and some experience adding.

Would be happy with that.
Feel like we might need to start acting upon things fairly soon (if not already done). Leeds could well be on the hunt for a née coach, and knowing that we are in the same position that could force Hertherington's hand to act fast and try and beat us to somebody like Rowley.

I do have a sneaky feeling it might be Rowley just from what myler said about the new coach maybe wanting to bring in his own people. Probably wishful thinking but would be amazing if we did pull that one off
