Hows he going for you guys has he played much for the first team this season?

Played a few pre season games and looked okay, he's currently on loan to Rochdale with a few other of the reserve lads.

I wasn't convinced, he played hoker pre season and his distribution wasn't the best. I'm aware that a few years ago every club in the country were chasing him, so the ability is there.

Maybe a few games in Championship 1 will do him some good, as there are opportunities for him in our first team this year.

When he was playing scrum half though.

Another situation of nippy lads in the halves not being deemed good enough and thrust into playing hooker.

He's not a bad player by any means. Gone well in the reserves upto now but I cant help feeling that his size will always see him targetted and he will never get a shot at first team anyway. Another Ste Roper signing by the Mac potentially.

Ive always liked the look of the hooker Tom Smith who we picked up from Wigan. Still a young lad and should get the hooker spot back now Robinson is over at Rochdale.
