'Way back last August I posted a request for information on how to get to the Halton Stadium from Widnes railway station. My wife and I decided to attend a game this season as a token of solidarity with the club and its fans after the victimisation of Widnes - not for the first time - when the franchises were allocated.
We attended the game on Saturday - and what a game it was - and were delighted by the help we received from the stewards and members of the club staff (we have experienced this standard of service before at the Halton).
My thanks also to Glitzy, Pepe, Gwyddyn, Snowy, Richardviking and Christie for the information; it got us to the stadium with no trouble. Good luck to the club and we hope to get back to Widnes, if not this season, then next, and hopefully the visit after that will be for a Super League game; Super League is where Widnes should be!!
