There are precious few threads on here on Widnes central. The one that comes to mind was started by a wire asking about seating arrangements. And to that, all I can say is whatever sweaty violent warringtonian or slimy pie fancying wiganer is sat on my seat wipe it thoroughly afterwards.

I love Warrington, I might even buy a penthouse over looking the river somewhere in Latchford. or failing that buy one of them terraced homes on Flecther street.

We love Warrington.
We love them for their competition (in the past).
We love them for their failures (in the present).
We love them for their subservience (in the future)

We love them for Boyd v Sorensen, for Dessie v Offiah, for Nicholas v Mills.

We love them for 1975.

We even love them for 2005 cause it means we owe them one!

I do dislike them, but ever since 2005 my dislike has become slightly more irrelevant though. Being born in the late 80's I didn't witness our years of glory and hammering W**es a lot of the time. But heard about the right humdingers between Boyd and Kurt, and not to mention Dessie and Offiah. Oh and who can forget that dirty centre who played for them all his career, from orford ways, what was it, Paul something?
What does make laugh though is the way Widnes fans of a certrain generation claim Wires have won F**K all, which is a blatant lie, very ill founded.

My dad and many other people of the older generations have always spoke of a dislike for Warrington more so than any other local side. even though for a lot of Widnes, St Helens is nearer to us. Plus there has often been various bouts of crowd trouble with Warrington, some of the tales I've heard are pretty nasty, they had a very big 'lad' element at times during the 70's and 80's, and often caused havoc at Widnes. And many more rl grounds.

Oh and not to mention the fact that we owe them one for 'supposedly' relegating us in 2005. Don't get me wrong, although it was them who nailed the coffin lid down, I stil think the squad on the whole probably did a better job at sending us back to NL1 rather than W**e.
