3) Lifting the Cup ..... The RFL instructed Barrow that Des would recieve the cup at 7:15pm prior to the Fax match. The e-mail to that effect was posted on the Barrow forum by Jon Livesey (Barrow Vice-Chairman).
Because Des almost certainly requested that he receive the cup more likely than not!!!

Hi RFL,
As is the case in all events of this nature, the team captain will take receipt of the trophy as the recognised representative of the playing staff. Can you confirm where and when?
Kind Regards
Barrow

Go Screw yourselves!!!!!!!!
I demand that I, Des Johnson, be presented with this trophy. Afterall I won it!!! Me you hear... It was my money, my decisions, my coaching, my team selection.. do you not understand... you are all puppets... everyone, every single person in this country is my puppet..
P.S. to Barrow Press Guy.. please put together the following press release will you..
"Des Johnson i.e. Barrow Raiders has announced today with regret that by mutual consent the Barrow Press Guy has left the club. We are pleased to announce the hiring of 5 PR guys from Oldham today also.."
Then I want you to get your coat and love off............ team captain my booty. what have they done to deserve this.
Bow all before me.
Des
I can't think of any other teams in this sport or others in which the chairman is presented with a trophy for success on the pitch.
I still can't believe this happened to be honest... and find it absolutely hilarious..
Dress it up all you want, but you won't kid anyone that Des received the trophy because he wanted to and probably feels like he deserved it.
