Patchy side with a fair few missing but we still should be able to field a solid enough starting 13, does anyone know about the 2 young lads added?

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

Re: Boxing day team : Thu Dec 24, 2009 12:12 pm
Here’s the two squads.

Warrington:

Full Back: Chris Riley
Left Wing: Rhys Williams
Left Centre: Ryan Shaw
Right Centre: Matty Blythe
Right Wing: Kevin Penny
Stand Off: Richie Mathers
Half Back: Richie Myler
Prop: Paul Wood
Hooker: Mickey Higham
Prop: Mike Cooper
Second Row: Lee Mitchell
Second Row: Tyrone McCarthy
Loose Forward: Simon Grix

Substitutes
Rhys Evans
Craig Harvey
Liam Hulme
James Laithwaite
Adam Neal
Gareth O'Brien
Jamie Peasnall
Alex Thompson

Widnes:
Ford, Varkulis, Kohe Love, Thackeray, Webster, Pickersgill, M Smith, Doran, Allen, Gerrard, Coyle, Grady, Kavanagh, Yates, Strong, Thompson, Houghton, Hulme, J Smith, Crompton

I’m not sure how they’ll line up, but my guess would be…

1. Ford
2. Yates
3. Varkulis
4. Kohe Love
5. Thompson
6. Thackeray
7. Webster
8. Pickersgill
9. M Smith
10 Kavanagh
11. Doran
12. Allen
13. Gerrard

Coyle
Grady
Strong
Houghton
Hulme
J Smith
Crompton

With Flynn and Gardner out i'd guess the young lads may very well be backs, or one a forward replacing Haggs in side.

That's not what I'd call strong line-up, VM. We are too light on Props, and have no out and out wingers.

Pickersgill and Kavanagh will have their work cut out with only Houghton to spell them. I would assume that Doran would be expected to move into the front row occasionally, with Strong and maybe Grady taking his place in the back row. I suppose Cullen Could Jiggle things around with Varks coming in from the centre.

We also won’t have a recognized, experienced winger out there either, with Yates and Thompson looking like our best bet. Neither are wingers.

I know he wants to play ford full back but i would perhaps re jig the team for the friendly

Yates
Ford
Thompson
Kohe Love
Smith/Crompton
Thackeray
Webster
Pickersgill
Smith
Kavanagh
Varkulis
Allen
Gerrard

Houghton
Doran
Grady
Strong
Hulme

Houghton and Doran as props from the bench? it is still a reasonable line up, Ford can easily rotate the FB position with Yates and Thompson can play in his natural position of centre.

I would go along with that team vikingman but only if that smith and crompton any good? They natural wingers as i do not know much about them.I like see thompson given a chance in the centre as he did a good job at blackpool. What has happened to mullaley as i think he is a beast and very quick for a big man?
