Absolutely it was.. but he won't be saying that himself this morning. Even so they backed up really well.
Agreed with Gardner, he's probably the biggest winger weve ever had and i felt sorry for the lad who tried to tackle him. I have been impressed with Gardner since his arrival.
Considering the stick we got when he signed I was very dubious but so far he's been really decent.
I think we have some really good options in a lot of areas now if needed.
Considering we're working with £100k less the squad put together this year seems far more resilient and balanced than the one put together by McCormack last year.
Admittedly we haven't played one of the stronger sides yet so we'll see how it goes then, starting Sunday I guess, but it still baffles me that he built that squad the way he did last year.
