We do have one thing in common though, we're both likely supporting teams who are going places. It's just, with any luck we'll be going to super league and they'll be going to the championship to join the back of the line for licenses. We'll see how some of the, erm, more arrogant fans who have been so heavily supportive of the system react to that one.

That's a very good point. I spend a lot of my time digging out old posts to highlight people's earlier gaffes (usually Vikingman's)

I look forward to showing up the contradictions of the fans of the relegated club(s).

You see, life without Widnes won't be so bad after all.

A lot of them have already started. It's just the delusional few who think their clubs are somehow still above all this who are holding out. Should be fun!

1 Commercial, marketing, media and community. 6/10 Must improve our marketing prowess.

2 Facilities. 8/10

3 Finance. 7/10? Looks as though we'll be under strict budgets, but sound.

4 Governance and business management. 9/10? See above.

5 Playing strength and player performance strategy. 6/10. Probably five or six SL players lying in wait in our squad, if that. However, we have an exciting crop of young players who are capable of stepping up in the medium term.

TBH Chris if Widnes or Cas get relegated then Us (HKR), Bradford, Quins and Crusaders have dodged a rather large bullet.

You'll need to get a shift on signing your 2012 squad as most SL teams might have left you behind by then? anyone Widnes have in mind?

It's only 2010 now so I sincerely doubt we have made any inquiries. We're not nailed on for SL, and I wont believe it until I not only see an official announcement, but I am sat there, last game of the super league season, hearing the final referees whistle. And then a day will need to pass at least before I establish I'm not dreaming.
