and of course not all Fev fans are idiots. i hope and imagine the vast majority of the good people of Featherstone are just as, if not more so annoyed by this than the rest of us.

One visit to Featherstone in 2008 and my daughter decided she wasn't going to any more away games. It's quite true that all clubs have a percentage of lunatics, but the over-age boot boys that follow Featherstone are the worse I've ever come across in rugby league.
It's one of those things in soccer and rugby league that the fans of small clubs with hardly any history of winning things (Millwall, Cardiff, Featherstone, Whitehaven) have to make their name some other way. Add that to the tiny gene pool and in their logic, anyone supporting another team or who comes from another part of the country, even a part they've never visited, is the enemy. I hope they get the slime who attacked that lad on Sunday.

Fev have won every major honour in the game, Widnes and Warrington had terrible reputations not long ago

This is the second time you've said this. First off, invoking the name of our bitterest rivals as if we're supposed to be ashamed on their behalf doesn't make sense. Secondly, we have never had a particularly bad name in the game at all. You've made that up. Warrington did, which is why you keep posting "widnes and warrington", so it's not completely made up. Thirdly, you've come on here to prove your fans are not the bad types they are being portrayed by posting in a confrontational, aggressive manner and are exhibiting the very behaviour (lumping all fans together and attacking them) that you are presumably trying to prevent other fans from doing to featherstone. In short, you are dousing the situation by adding firewood.

I'm locking this thread, and I suggest you go and have a lie down because by making excuses for the attack, bringing up completely unrelated incidents and attacking other clubs you are giving featherstone fans a bad name.
