I think Derbies provide the most exciting games. I could not understand why they moved away from this format in the first place.

I think you actually get more value for money and more people sticking around at the prospect of watching Saints vs Wigan, Leeds vs Bradford, Hull vs Hull II and of course the showpiece event Widnes vs Wolfs.
You may get one side that receives a drubbing but often the underdog is well up for it meaning nothing can be taken for granted.

Exactly!

Last year, no derbies... Saints stuck 50 on KR, Wire similar on Salford. Cru 30 on Bulls so wasn't exactly a spectacle!

That would be brilliant. Isn't this Northern Rail 7 a side comp supposed to be our Magic Weekend though?
