Hindsight is wonderful VM.

There weren't many complaining on here though with the look of the squad at the start of the year despite the trolls from elsewhere saying we weren't up to much.

Were just a horribly average side. Can probably run most close at home but fall down away from home where we are terrible.

Dennis coming in hasn't had much of an effect either and were just going to limp to the end of the year.

I'm struggling to see why we let John Duffy go, top player.

We would be daft not to try and sign Chris Hill as well, only 22 got a great future in the game.

Which has happened for most of the last 4 years, apart from a couple of NRC wins we've been very poor. Its putting people of attending and even the hardcore are now dwindling in numbers. I didn't go today due to a last minute change of heart and probably wont be going the next game away either as it's money down the drain. I have always considered myself a die hard but now im that demoralised with crap nearly every year im getting to the point were i don't even miss it that much. I consider that itself very worrying and im amazed that Steve appointed Betts after this years results. While he's around we have little choice but to back him but im really running thin with Widnes at the minute.

You are right that we've been poor in general for years. We've messed the cap up every year in not being able to get a settled balance within the squad.

Whilst it isn't Betts squad he has had little effect upon them. Like you say though he has to be backed to recruit his own squad for SL. Preferably with as few of this years squad although I appreciate it won't be the case.
