Kevin Penny has scored tries that no other winger I have seen could have scored. Amazing finisher. Will always be fond of him as a Wire fan and still wish he was at the club. Hope he does well at Widnes.

SOC has done wonders for your club over the last few years off the field. You have financial stability, a structure that most SL clubs would be proud of, but your sporting side is a joke. He clearly hasn't a clue about RL (not his fault, it isn't his first love, he just wants to give something back to his town). He is clearly a very successful businessman and, as every successful business man does, they surround themselves with good people who are experts in their field. All parts of the Widnes club have the right people in the right positions, except one. The actual playing side. You have absolute numpties in control of (in business terms) product development, quality control and product delivery.

You have signed Penny on loan because SOC is desperate to get momentum going as you go into Super League. Someone is telling him that he will excite the fans! Penny is a headless chicken (a quick one, but still a headless chicken), who can't even get into a Wakefield side doomed to relegation.
The fans of your club need to get close to your owner, and someone who knows something about rugby league needs to get in his ear and demand changes to the sporting structure of the club. You don't deserve three years of ridcule in super league, but that is what you will get if you don't make changes now, it's not too late.

Whilst a lot of that may be true. With regards to Penny the last time he was here he played really well, we might have made/be making poor signings but to be honest this wouldn't be the first one to spring to mind.
Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.

He makes a good point though. Widnes seem to have everything in place to kick on, but they just can't get the Rugby side of things right. When they do, I can see you being a top 8 SL club.
