Widnes Rugby League Museum re-opens : Wed Aug 17, 2011 1:58 pm  

The Widnes Rugby League Museum will re-open its doors by appointment only on Friday 19 August and continue to do so, from Monday 22nd until Friday 26th August.

For those who have never visited before, the impressive facility which is situated in the East Stand of the Stobart Stadium Halton, was originally opened in 2007 and is home to a wonderful collection of rugby memorabilia, much of it donated by members of the public, and displays a fine history of Widnes RLFC.

Ive been told they are exibiting THE PROGRAMME ,from the last time you beat the MIGHTY LEYTHERS ,its very old and very much like the Dead Sea Scrolls, very valuable .

New exhibition this week entitiled "Rugby League Dinosaurs". Exhibits to include waxwork dummies of Betts, Cullen and Cassidy. Men, who's coaching ethos was stuck in the past.
