All I can say is that, it should tell you something about the quality of the likes of player that we have retained in Gilmore, Gore, Craven and Owens.
I know Gilmore in particular is one player that everyone at the club is very excited about. There are already lines being used such as 'better than Myler' etc. Now I'm not so sure that this is partly just because of the circumstances of Myler leaving etc but we have fought off a number of SL teams recently to get him to re-sign. Warrington in particular have made big efforts to sign him.
As I said on your board, maybe they have looked at Hulme and decided he will more likely be a Martin Keavney standard player rather than a Richie Myler one.
Personally I thought he was excellent, and hope he gets himself sorted out with something quickly. I also hope that this was all done amicably so that when we are proven wrong and the lad turns out to be world class then he fancies a move back when he's a bit older.
