Watts, who parted company with Sydney Roosters without playing a match this season, tweeted: ''Really happy to have agreed to terms with ESL club Widnes Vikings on a 1 yr deal. Looking forward to getting my career back on track.'' Watts was recently cleared of assaulting his partner Shannon Kiss after police withdrew the charges against him. Remember being chuffed when the Roosters signed him last year. Can play all half back roles and LF.

Club will have to wait for all RFL documentation to go through (bar visa's as separate) whereas Watts could have posted second he got off the phone with Cullen

Hopefully he's left a lot of his issues in the past... just reading through some of the stuff he's been up to and he looks like real trouble.

Not the sort of influence we need around so many young up and coming players. Here's hoping we get the Watts from his time at the Cowboys rather than the one that didn't get to play for the Roosters.

25 year old Australian Stand Off confirmed on a one year deal.

Personally I'm well excited by this signing. Not a bad word about him ability wise from any quarter I have seen. Obviously a few issues away from the field but he seems genuinely repentant and hopefully he can get his life back on track at the Vikings.

Looks like we might have some actual real half backs this year and not people just having a go playing out of position
