I fully appreciate the difficulties you have endured this year and have been impressed with your results in the main... I think a few more years of solid recruitment, which will hopefully lead to bigger crowds and better results, will see you back into a position in the game which you enjoyed in the 70's and 80's.
I think for the good of the competition, the sport needs clubs like yours to show positive intent and not just 'auto-pilot' through their existance like London.

Nobody has been more surprised about Ah Van's progress than us Widnes fans but of all the risky signings we were forced to make to get a squad together he has been probably the one who paid off the most. He's a scorer, he's not looked off the pace, he's been very good. When he came here people laughed at us, but he's really answered his critics.
Sometimes it just takes a change of club and circumstances to bring the best out in people. I've seen it before.
