Arguably trying to defend and play tight has been our downfall in a couple of the close games (Cas away being the most obvious example). What I think is more important for us is to keep attacking, but without the crazy desperate stuff that causes dropped balls, stray passes or pointless kicks.
We have enough potency in attack to know that if we can complete our sets and avoid the crazy penalties we will score plenty of points. The more we hang on to the ball the more we deny the opposition the chance to score. Our defending is better than it was last season, but it is still not up there with the best, but we have plenty of strike weapons in attack. A bit of variety from our forwards, as we showed against Bradford makes the opposition less certain that all they have to do is wait for us to drive the ball in and knock us over.
I agree though I think 6 wins out of our remaining 8 games is beyond us, I'd be pretty happy with 4 wins, but you just never know. I think it has been one of the more unpredictable seasons in terms of results and maybe the first time that the limitations of the salary cap have caught out the big guns when faced with a lot of injuries even allowing for the fact that Wigan are still topping the table.
