I have said in another thread Hanbury was clearly not fully fit and shouldn't have played, not an excuse for the way the rest performed, although Brown I thought did well especially as he was playing for a well beaten side.
It looked like a game to many for us until we had our second half bout of scoring. I realise we lost a few with injuries, but I couldn't quite understand why it took so long to bring Craven on. We were as ever pedestrian at getting the ball away, how we could do with a McShane type player from the PTB, Clarke worked hard as he always does but Leeds were up on us (legally or illegally) every time as we were just so slow getting the ball away.
A bit more to cheer in the second half, but I agree as far as home performances are concerned that has got to be the worst since we returned to Superleague.
How many new injuries did we pick up? Marsh for certain, and I wasn't sure if Gerrard got hurt he certainly had heavy strapping on both legs, hopefully we will have a decent squad available for Wakey, although I think extra league points will be few and far between over our remaining games.
Maybe if the rumours about Chris Bridge coming next year are true, we could see if he could be released early or at least come on loan and see if we could prise Dwyer away from Huddersfield (although I suspect he will be happy where he is!). We certainly need some sort of injection of fresh blood! On the plus side we will hopefully have Cross and Allen back, not sure how bad Cahill is. Maybe another week will see Hanbury back to his usual self. Hopefully the performance will prove a kick up the backside and they will be up for the Wakey game.
Any thoughts of us taking the spoils in the Cup at Wigan I think need to be forgotten, however excited some people are about the prospect. I'd love it to happen but I'd rather have another 3 or 4 league wins!
