I don't think we deliberately conceded 52 points we sadly looked clueless. I am not sure all the lads in the 17 were fit, particularly Hanbury, we have played him when we shouldn't have before and he hasn't been up to it. Sadly the same happened today a few hard tackles and he clearly wasn't his old self although he took his try well.
However he wasn't the reason for our defeat, we just chose to have a very bad day at the office whatever could go wrong did go wrong from the ref failing to spot an obstruction, to Hock offloading without a Widnes player in sight (I admit there should have been!). Jack Owens failing to pick a loose ball up which offered a certain try only to see the try scored at the other end. Failing to respond to Leeds high shorter kick offs , you name it we blew it.
It was a miracle really we managed to score 36 points, thanks largely to Kevin Brown who showed his worth today and whilst we never threatened their lead at least we didn't completely cave in and let Cas sneak ahead of us on points difference as it looked we might at halftime!
The bigger worry is what bodies we will have available for the Wakey game.
