Regards the disciplinary surely Ah van should have got sending off sufficient? we played the majority of the game with a man down yet Joel Tomkins flattened Phelps behind the sticks yet just gets a caution? Matty Smith has also been charged and will serve 1-2 games depending if he takes the early guilty plea.

Myself I would opt for Owens and Marsh as wingers. Young Hulme is a good talent but not quite ready for these big games.If Jack can't get a game in the absence of both first choice wingers I will eat my hat.

Smith has taken the EGP and will serve a one match ban.
Tomkins has been warned, desrved nothing more. He tackled Phelps off the ball after running in, no punches thrown and the right decision.
Ah Van is lucky, Charnley was knocked out cold, could not return and is suffering headaches from the headshot four days later. Very lucky just to get a one match ban for foul play of that severity.

Disagree, Tomkins had no need to get involved in anything, he could have also started a brawl by his actions. Ah van was clumsy and got punished straight away via a red card, no further action needed.

I've kept quiet about ah vans sending off as I was absolutely seething even the day after.

Ah vans challenge was never a sending off,it was very clumsy as he was trying to stop charnley from getting close to the line after his misjudged read in defence,10 minutes definitely,it was clumsy so therefore 10 minutes would have sufficed,ive seen worse head high tackles let off with a penalty,re charnley still feeling the effects,i think most of us who have played and got sparked who testify that they were feeling ropey a few days after the knock,not saying its an excuse for ah van but ateotd it's a high collision sport and these things happen,as VM has stated he should have had sos as we spent nearly 3/4 of the game with a man less

Marsh is very weak defensively would be far too much of a liability on the wing. I prefer Owens and Hulme with Phelps and dean as centres.
