I would give him a year contract at widnes for next season he has been one of wakefields best players over the years plus he is still a quality player? any thoughts

A few Rumours flying about that 1. Fax are signing him, and the other was that he was going to Featherstone, However on their forum they are saying he aint going to Fev. So Dunno !

And once again, we all thought that about Gene and Aizue. We'll have to wait and see how well he copes with whoever he signs for.

His departure from Widnes was not a happy affair. I'd be surprised if he returned. Fine player though. I can't say I ever left a game thinking he had let anyone down.

However he said loves the club and people was just the long gone coach he had issues with over it!

In the not too distant past... last 6 months or so... I received a text message at 3am in the morning from one of my mates who is a wakey fan. He was out in Wakey and was chatting to JD, Blanch and Scotty Grix among others.

I had previously been teasing my mate that JD was still a Widnes fan and he wore his Widnes shirt under his Wakey top so he confronted him. JD said that he had not been given a new training top when he had joined Wakey and so had carried on wearing his Widnes top. He did say that he had a brilliant time at the club and would go back quite happily if he ever had to leave Wakefield.

The real surprise though was Grixxy who apparantly absolutely gushed about the club and said he would love to come back if we came in for him.

To be fair though Doc we never got anywhere near the level of performances from him that Wakey managed when he went there.

Whether that was down to Ned or not I remember his last year at the club as being quite error prone although as you say you would never question his honesty and work rate.

Still a great guy and seeing him at Percy's day re-iterated that.

Probably not the type of guy I would imagine us picking up and he could probably get better and potentially longer terms elsehwhere.

Good luck to him though wherever he appears next.

He dropped a few high bombs that came his way, which proved quite costly. Some Widnes fans got on his back about it and Ned wasn’t happy with him at all.
