There seemed to be some suggestion on the Total Rl forums of him pitching up at Swinton next year. That would certainly fit in with Steve leaving Barrow at this time.

Good luck to him in whatever he does. It would be a shame to lose him from the pro-game as he has alot of experience and knowledge of the lower levels to share.

Puts another club in Barrow who will be on the lookout for a new coach.

It is a shame that the report did not mention his time in the "hot seat" at Widnes and Whitehaven, where he had his most successful years.

difficult choice for barra as I can't think of any obvious candidates to replace him. He was always on borrowed time with disco des.

Disco Des, lol. I think Des will splash the cash. Karl Harrison or maybe even Cullen. Failing that he might go after Matterson or McRae if they are sacked as rumoured.
