When you guys step up, who do you expect to come with you and who do you think you plan on releasing?

Realistic targets from Super league for replacements

Names like Jon Clarke, Gleeson being banded about but what do you think ?

Not to sure about Clarke to be honest, at the back end of his career and not sure how much he could bring to the team. If Wakefield do go down I imagine we might try to take a couple of their players but to be honest it's too early to call.

Our winning license bid was based on building for the future so I really hope that we take that philosophy into Super League with us and I am confident that SOC is the right man to do that and will stick to his word. Having said that we will need a fair few experienced super league players as the squad we have at the moment is nowhere near good enough.

Who, in the current squad would you say is SL standard?

Difficult to say really. Flynn and Craven definitely have the potential to develop so I imagine they will be given contracts for next year. Varkulis has been a revelation for us in the front row this year and has been our most consistent performer so he certainly deserves a shot in Super league as so Thacks, Tyrer, Finnegan and Allen IMO.

Bit to early to judge the current squad, and I'm not exactly sure who is out of contract at the super league clubs at the end of the year.

You look at our squad and players like Leuluai, Tyrer, Gerrard, Grady etc will all be under 23 when we join SL so IMO we'd be stupid not to keep hold of them and see how we go! They'd be available for SL reserves and could also be DR out if they aren't in the first team squad.

The players we keep depend on the players available to bring in, I can't see us binning off players who we currently have to bring in an ageing name. There are players here with potential who, with full time training could be a far better player. It will be interesting to see what we do, Tangi Ropati has played against the best in the world cup but never played full time RL. We'll certainly need a lot of new players, but we've got some great youngsters coming through that will hopefully get some championship experience this year too.

Don't know how he's doing in Australia but maybe we should look at Gareth Widdop?
