Well done Widnes. Great defence - something I wish we had. I'm bemused by your period of lapses though - as if your whole squad goes to sleep. In your good spells you look world beaters. Also - the passion shown by Betts is good to see.

i can only conclude, after being in close proximity to the large gang of french youths in attendance that is is, in fact still 1991 in france. it was like being stuck in some chavtastic, insanely stereotypical gay East 17 convention nightmare.

On last night though:

A poor game between two [currently] poor teams. Widnes looked scared to do anything in the first half an hour. Number 8 for Toulouse went well. As did their kicker, beautiful kicks for those 40-20's.

But 2/3 wins over Easter, I'll have that.

My first game in a long time and thoroughly underwhelming. I think the big thing to realise though was that this was our third match in seven days, so it was never going to be a classic. Mindless idiots in the North Stand seem to forget that.
