I know a lot of people have been speculating but no one has made a poll so i thought i would

I can't take part in this poll. We haven't had a full squad announced, there are too many variables. I don't think we should go in with expectations, only hopes. Expectations are for coaches.

I took this more as a hope, although i think 9th is still a pretty reasonable expectation. Now we have Briscoe

Not a realistic hope though is it? At this stage, we don't have a squad. We don't know what it will be. There are signings in the way, Betts said so himself. Who they will be will give us more realistic predictions. I don't think we can say until we know more.

I could say I expect 6th, but we might find that too hard first season. I could say I expect 13th, but we might make big signings which would render such an opinion pessimistic.

Not having a go mate, just that I won't be making such a prediction just yet.

Atleast its around the 10th place finish atm and not last place. Altough i think the lower our expectations, the more chance there is of them being surpassed. Thats my theory at least anyway! Maybe we should just vote on our expectations of the fact that everything that SO'C and co' has done since the franchise system came in (or since he took over for that matter) has been nothing but a revelation and we should just trust any new signings and any strides the club makes toward making a success of our first season back in super league. I just know it will be nothing but a success! No matter were we finish.

Given the size of the task of building a SL squad pretty much from scratch - I think you're right. We've made a few solid signings, but if we were to truely make a splash next year, we would have to be signing a few top quality players. Unfortunately, at this stage it looks unrealisitc to expect us to be signing any top players really. Just hope the club have got a few cards up their sleeves to play before the start of next year. Even the expected announcement that Wakey will lose their licence doesn't really look like helping us too much - seeing as their best players were cherry picked before the start of this year.

3 people have put 1st? Really?

I'd like to see Widnes assemble a decent squad and push for around 10th in your first season, that would be a very good achievement. Perfectly possible with a good desire and ethic.

Make that 4

Lets be realistic though, like Dalton said, we've signed Cross, Cahill and Briscoe and retained 4 players. Hardly a basis to base where we are going to finish next season. To be honest, the higher the better and anywhere above 10th-11th would be absolutely superb.
