Maybe for future Stronghold announcements, the club should just send the text without prior announcement. Guards against people moaning about unnecessary build-ups etc

Being on trust in widnes today confirmed to me that no matter what circumstance, no matter whether we're having to open up an aircraft hangar for our silverware and a second one to stick all our profits from worldwide receipts people will still moan and groan about it.

Club wont worry too much about these whingers. They probably whinge if they won the lottery because it gave them choice issues.

The trust is an awful board, it breeds negativity, take the thread on ianson for instance. 1 bad game and and its ultra depression.

All players have bad days get over it FFs.

you'd think we lost today over there.

It was a below par performance for the first half, mostly down to penalties.

So then what happens? Poor teams go into hiding and run away. We stand up for ourselves and pull the game out. And yes, Ianson was not at his best, but as me and my brother were discussing prior to the game, he is nothing spectacular but usually very reliable. One off game and all of a sudden he is some sort of loser.

This thread title made me laugh my socks off.

A great win but....

It's like a competition sometimes to be the most pessimistic voice on that board.
It's like the flag thing... Just an ideas thread for people to get involved someway if they want. If not then no bother and yet some people feel compelled to let the world know that they are not interested or how bad an idea it is.

Sorry Chris--I started that thread and I stand by it. It took 57 minutes to get into gear and that has been the problem all season. We do not play for the full 80 minutes, we dont have structure and yet somehow we scrape wins. It could be argued that that is the sign of a good side but if you really believe that we are a good side then IMO you are wrong.

It was a win that yet again relied on DR players--how many did Batley have?

Words like great, fantastic and credit were used but surely there has to be a sense of reality. I would love it if we could storm the play offs and reach the final but there are no signs that we can beat the likes of Leigh and Featherstone when the chips are down.

I note that there are similar views on this board saying that we will not beat Leigh--or is that different somehow??
