Just wondering apart from Kevin Brown, signings for next year all seems quiet hope weve not missed out !i know were still chasing Danny Tickle but anybody know anything in the pipeline or is it going to be an up hill battle to sign quality for next year again !

Well been looking on Twitter and James Gordon says a new halfback, and scored against Widnes as a clue.That is a few halfbacks but i feel is Mellor he is talking about.Hopefully if Scott Taylor goes to Hull we can get Tickle.We need a centre,prop,Secondrower and a hooker for me.We was lucky our Secondrowers never got injured much last year and with McShane going back we need a replacement.Dean and Marsh are ok centres but we need another TKL type of player.Phelps and Marsh would be my choice of centres but depends on Briscoe if injury free.

I can see 3 ways of looking at this, the club are either keeping everything under wraps and announcing everyone at once (for instance Marsh and Mellor have signed but still haven't been announced yet?)

2. The club are still negotiating deals as touched upon with Tickle.

3. We've lost out on identified targets and are having to explore other players.

Stating the obvious a little but we have no choice but to sit and wait for that magic stronghold text


We need a prop, centre, second row and Hooker.

Agree i said on the Trust Site need a prop,centre,hooker and a Secondrower to be more competitive when injuries occur. Leuluai and Alex Gerrard are not good enough in quality, even though Gerrard is improving.Leuluai,Finnigan,and Haggerty are Championship players only.With McShane going we need a player permanently to rotate with White.

Does not look good on the signings for next year.We virtually have the same squad and added Kev Brown.Lost Watts,Moore,Finnigan,Haggerty,and Kite.Not all a lost to be honest,but not added much on top of these players.What annoys me is SOC gives Bradford £10,000, and money from away fans that Bradford brought to their coffers.We sign nobody and Bradford are resigning players in a decent squad.If we signed players like Tickle,decent prop and McShane i be more than happy.I feel bottom of the league again unless a few signings.

I think if we haven't added further to the squad by the 1st week in November then were likely to have missed out on targets as Denis would want them all in for pre season training (with the exception of any overseas signings). its easy to look on things negatively but having a good number six will go a long way to improving our attack. Having Briscoe and kavanagh back will be like having a couple of new signings.

looking around at the other teams i don't see why we should overly panic, salford for instance have let some real quality go who haven't yet been replaced, london and wakey don't appear to have added much either.

I have left out some of the younger lads from that list as they're unlikely to feature but its clear to me that were lacking a second rower 1st of all, i know a few wouldn't be that impressed but someone like Luke Adamson would fit in that bracket reasonably well, he's a strong defender and is still only young, perhaps in his case he just needs a change of club having been at Salford a good few years. The second position is centre, feck knows who is available that we could get but i think we need another option in that position.

Being greedy mcshane would be a dream but how likely is that i don't know.

Andrew Dixon (saints) still isnt signed yet, he would do a decent job for us as competition in the second row.

Agreed. Excellent player, surely can't just be Salford in for him? (Guessing delay as they sorting out finances / investment etc). He'd be ideal for us IMO.

Of course we need a few more but sort out a good Hooker and we'll be a much better side than last year. It's easy to forget how well we progressed and injuries we had (especially Briscoe) and adding Kevin Brown does add a hell of a lot to our attack!

A Secondrower is a must, as we will struggle if get a few injuries in that postion.Leuluai is just not good enough at this level.Hooker,Centre,and possibly one prop, as Gerrard still developing.Be interesting how White and Coyle interchange but i like someone quality in this postion.Dixon or Tickle be nice if Hull release or find another Secondrower.

Mmmm doesnt like were signing any body then , apart from Brown , mellor and marsh been with us all season so dont see them as new signings, seems all the high grade been signed up then only the poop left Dont think there will be many taking up the season tickets offers till we now whos coming people wont be fooled next season for sure
