Hi gang, been away for a while. I realise its not really a RLfans topic as such but im hoping someone can help me out. I joined the trust in widnes forum what must be at least 6 weeks ago now, i recieved the confirmation E mail stating that i would be contacted again when my registration was approved, im still waiting for this to happen. I have also contacted the site through their contact page regarding this issue, that was at least 3 weeks ago. Still no response. does anyone know whats going on? given some of the tosh on that board surely they cant be ignoring my registration, im certainly no worse a board prescence than many on there.

If only this board was a little more active snakes, you can get depression quite easily reading trust in Widnes these days. If your on twitter I know a few homies you could shout who should be able to look at it for you.

Other than that carry on supporting this forum, we may not produce much gossip but when we do its mega!

To be honest, I posted on there a lot this time last year and at the start of the season, can't be bothered to read it let alone post on it these days.

For me it hit absolute rock bottom when people where genuinely devastated that the club had produced mugs with the scoreboard from the Wigan board on it to make a few quid!!!

There are too many on that board that genuinely hate the club! I mean that... they can't see anything positive in what the club try to do.

I just done understand why my registration hasn't been approved, and why I haven't had a response to my e mail querying that. Very amateurish. I want to storm in like a Viking invader and tell some of those wobblers on there to man up.

It's a completely bizarre attitude to take....It's completely incredible that the old posting of Graham Chester Wire, (Good Old) Sparkomatic and Milly were far more balanced posters than some of the clowns on there now. The club don't get everything right... they have really struggled at times but if I read one more poster say
"But SOC said that we weren't going up just to make up the numbers!!!"

To me the forum almost equates to a group of supporters sitting in a pub and voicing what they think about this and that. There have, in the past, been some very interesting debates about rugby in general, tactics etc. We don't all see things the same way but if you listen you can learn!

The common bond is that we are all supporters and any criticism would, hopefully, be aimed at improving the club in some way, rather than trying to bring it down.

Am I naive?

Yes mate...

I've got to agree with other posters that there are some on that board will never admit that the club have made a good move.
Just look at the thread on there now about emails... a decent enough question but ultimately it leads down a path of the club being a force for darkness and SOC being some sort of heinous villainous mastermind.

TBH I hardly bother looking these days, some comments are just so juvenile and lacking in any sort of acknowledgement of reality.

There aren't that many multi-millionaires around the Widnes area so if we can't become self-sufficient and successful we are sunk. Quite honestly if we have to have someone simply shoveling cash in at every verse end then the SL will be a smaller one, as many want anyway.

I'm old enough and lucky enough, to have seen all the shades of Widnes RLFC, from rubbish in the fifty's to absolutely brilliant and I'd settle for that if we can't cut it cash-wise. I'm also greedy enough to want to see the brilliant side again, and to that end I'll support as much as I can with VSH, Dream Tickets, sponsoring the youngsters etc. Obviously there is a limit for each and every one of us.

What some don't realise is that the club have given my family and many others, past and present, so many good days that I reckon I can cut them a bit of slack when they go wrong!
